Brake fluid tester

The condition of the brake fluid in vehicles is an important factor for road safety. The effects of the hygroscopic nature of brake fluid are increased viscosity (delayed braking action), a lower boiling point and severe corrosion in the braking system. The timely replacement of used brake fluid ensures the road safety of the vehicle and the effective service life of the braking system.

The LEITENBERGER range comprises brake fluid testers capable of performing two measurement methods.

• Measurements of the conductivity of the brake fluid
  • EBT 01 (DOT 4)
  • EBT 03 (DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4 Plus, DOT 5.1)
  • EBT 06 (DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1)

Note: Mineral and silicon-based brake fluids cannot be tested with EBT 01, EBT 03 or EBT 06.
