Description
Leitenberger offers a specially developed set of 9 test cylinders for the precise adjustment of rear view camera systems for the EU and the USA. These test cylinders meet the requirements of UN ECE R158, which is mandatory for the safe use of rear view assistance systems in buses and commercial vehicles.
After every installation, repair, or replacement of rear view camera systems, precise adjustment is necessary to ensure the best possible visibility in the immediate vicinity. Our test cylinders are robust, easy to position, and enable exact compliance with the defined field of vision in accordance with paragraph 15.2 of UN ECE R158.
In addition, the test cylinders are suitable for use in extended test procedures as specified in the “Regulations for 360° surround view testing equipment (SVS Regulation Testing Equipment)”. Among other things, they enable the “GSR Custer B-spliced image visibility test” to be carried out, which is used to evaluate the visibility quality of camera systems.
The test cylinders also provide valuable services in system calibration and functional testing in connection with the “Rear Pedestrian Safety Device,” which is intended to ensure even better detection of people in the rear area when reversing.
Main features:
- Dimensions in accordance with UN ECE R158: Each test cylinder complies with the required dimensions of 0.8 m height and 0.3 m diameter to enable clear and uniform detection.
- Fields of view in all rows: The test cylinders meet the requirements for all three rows of the field of view test, including the required view of test objects in the front and rear areas.
- Easy handling and space-saving design: The test cylinders are stackable and ideal for mobile use directly on site.
Autotestgeräte Leitenberger supports workshops and service centers in ensuring the safety of rear view assistance systems in accordance with UN ECE R158 – with a test system that meets the international requirements of modern driver assistance systems.
