It is important to distinguish between different testing tasks: the electrical safety and functional testing of the charging equipment, the testing of the charging cable used, and the analysis of an actual charging process between the electric vehicle and the charging station.
EVSE stands for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and refers to the electrical charging device that supplies power to an electric vehicle. A wallbox is a typical type of EVSE.

The Metrel A 1532 XA EVSE Adapter is used for electrical safety and functional testing of wallboxes and other Mode 3 EVSEs. The adapter simulates various vehicle and cable conditions and provides measurement connections for compatible installation testers. In addition, defined fault conditions can be simulated, and control-pilot communication can be examined.
The Metrel A 1832 Mode 3 Charging Cable Adapter, when used with a suitable tester, enables the electrical testing of Type 2 charging cables. Among other things, it can test the protective conductor, outer conductor, neutral conductor, control-pilot wire, PP coding resistor, and insulation.
The Metrel A 1631 EV monitoring cable allows measurements to be taken during a real AC charging process. When used with suitable measuring instruments or Metrel adapters, it enables the analysis of current, voltage, PP resistance, and CP communication, among other parameters.
