Leak Testers for Fuel Tank Systems

Check the fuel tank, lines, and connections for leaks!

After opening or repairing a fuel tank system, a leak test may be necessary to verify that the system is properly sealed in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.

With Leitenberger’s fuel tank system leak testers, the fuel system can be pressurized to a defined low test pressure and then checked for pressure loss.

Depending on the vehicle and test procedure, the connection is made, for example:

• via the fuel filler neck
• via a suitable quick-connect fitting
• via a vehicle-specific test adapter

Leitenberger offers both analog and digital versions for this test.

Test pressure, test duration, and permissible pressure loss are vehicle-specific and must be determined according to the respective manufacturer’s specifications.
