Rattling, scraping, squeaking, or uneven wiping results aren’t necessarily caused solely by worn wiper blades. The position of the wiper arm relative to the windshield and the contact pressure can also affect wiping performance. Therefore, a targeted inspection can be useful, especially after work on the front or rear windshield, as well as in cases of recurring wiper problems.

With Leitenberger’s AWPE testing and adjustment tools, you can check the angle of the wiper blade mount relative to the windshield’s curvature and correct it on compatible wiper arm systems. The AWPE 03 offers a basic set of features, while the AWPE 04 includes additional adapters for a wider range of applications. For supplementary testing of the wiper arm contact force, the electronic force gauges DKM 15 (0–15 N) and DKM 45 (0–45 N) are available.
