Compression testers

• Compression pressure testers are indispensable tools for the precise diagnosis of each individual cylinder or combustion chamber in Otto (petrol) and diesel engines. Compression pressure measurement can identify possible causes of performance losses or irregularities in engine operation.
• How it works:
  • The measurement is carried out via the spark plug, glow plug or injector bore with the help of specific adapters. If the measured values are too low or deviate greatly, possible sources of error include defective piston rings, valves or a damaged cylinder head gasket. A subsequent engine pressure loss measurement can be used to localize the fault more precisely.
