RPM Meter for Motors and Rotating Components

External speed measurement allows for independent monitoring of the speed of motors, shafts, and other rotating components—even when no suitable electronic speed signal is available. Depending on the measurement task, speed can be measured noncontact or via a mechanical contact.

The Leitenberger MT 6000 Speed Meter combines both measurement methods in a single portable handheld device. For non-contact measurement, the measurement range is from 5 to 99,999 rpm; for mechanical contact measurement, it is from 5 to 19,999 rpm. Using the included impeller, linear velocities from 0.05 to 1,999.9 m/min can also be measured. Automatic range switching, data storage, and the five-digit LCD display support its use in diagnostic, testing, and service work.
