Digital CO2 leak tester

Description

• Testing device for detecting CO₂ gas in the cooling system in cases of damage to the cylinder head gasket, cylinder head, or engine block
• The VGD 01 digital combustion gas detector quickly and accurately measures the CO₂ content in the engine cooling system when used with an optional radiator or universal adapter attached to the coolant filler neck
• An elevated CO₂ content in the cooling system indicates leaks between the combustion chamber or exhaust system and the cooling system, caused, for example, by a defective gasket or cracks in the cylinder head or engine block
• During the measurement, minimum and maximum values of the CO₂ content are recorded
• The following measured values are based on various test series and empirical data; the exact limit values must be specified by the engine, vehicle, or system manufacturer
  • Fresh, natural breathing air: 350–450 ppm CO₂ content
  • Functioning internal combustion engine: approx. 150–300 ppm CO₂ content
  • Defective engine: from approx. 600 ppm CO₂ content
• Large 4 1/2-digit backlit LCD display
• Measuring range up to 5000 ppm
• Sensor accuracy: ±70 ppm ±5%
