Description
The complete solution for getting started right away with professional HV battery checks. The HVBD 01_LR Starter Package includes the necessary hardware, connectivity, an annual license, and a total of 20 battery tests. With this package, repair shops, car dealerships, and professional vehicle appraisers can immediately begin offering SoH readouts and drive tests on supported electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Included in the Starter Package
Hardware
- Dongle
- OBD cable
- ONLY-CAN adapter
- Antenna
- Carrying case
The external antenna ensures a stable cellular connection for the system and is particularly helpful in areas with poor reception or in shielded installation environments. It thus supports reliable data transmission between the HVBD 01_LR and the digital testing environment.
Connectivity & License
- HVBD 01_LR Connectivity & License
- Term: 1 year
- Digital use via the BattCheck app
Battery checks
- 10 SoH checks
- 10 drive checks
- Total of 20 battery checks
Two checks for different requirements
SoH Test
- The SoH Check enables a quick SoH readout while the vehicle is stationary.
- The battery data provided by the vehicle or the battery management system is read out. A test drive is not required.
- A digital SoH report is then available.
Drive Test
- The Drive Check enables an in-depth drive test with static and dynamic battery data.
- During a short acceleration test, the behavior of the high-voltage battery under load is recorded.
- The evaluation is based on the patented DEKRA testing procedure. Upon completion, a digital SoH battery certificate is available.
- Easy operation via the BattCheck app
Purchase additional checks as needed
Once the included checks have been used up, additional
- 10 SoH checks
- 10 Drive Checks, or
- 10 SoH Checks + 10 Drive Checks
be purchased separately. This allows you to purchase the necessary battery checks as needed based on actual demand.
Ideal for
- Automotive repair shops
- Car dealerships
- Used car dealers
- Vehicle purchase and trade-ins
- Lease returns
- Vehicle fleets
- professional vehicle appraisal
Here’s how simple the battery test is
1. Connect the HVBD 01_LR: Connect the dongle to the vehicle interface via the OBD2 cable and start the system.
2. Launch the BattCheck app: Select the vehicle and enter the required vehicle data.
3. Select the test procedure: Choose between SoH Read-Out and Drive Test depending on the vehicle and the desired level of detail.
4. Collect battery data: With the SoH Read-Out, the relevant BMS data is automatically read while the vehicle is stationary. With the Drive Test, static battery data is first collected. This is followed by a short acceleration test during which dynamic battery readings are continuously recorded. A distance of approximately 100 meters is required for this.
5. Receive results: Once the test is complete, the data is digitally analyzed:
- SoH Read-Out → digital SoH report
- Drive Test → SoH battery certificate
The results can be provided via email or in the BattCheck app.
6. Document or share the results: The report or certificate can be used to document the battery’s condition and can be utilized, for example, in the context of vehicle appraisal, purchase, sale, or customer consultation.
Note on Vehicle Coverage
Not every vehicle supports both test methods. Depending on the vehicle model, an SoH Read-Out, a Drive Test, or both test methods may be available. Therefore, please check the current vehicle coverage before use.
Mileage can be read. Battery health should be measured.
